SaraSolo Festival 2017 artists move to a relaxed cabaret setting at The Starlite Room, 1001 Cocoanut Ave, Sarasota, Fl with SaraSolo After Hours, a new SaraSolo Festival event, with three late night, adult mainstage performances at 9:30pm on January 28, 29 and February 4. Jan. 28--Paula Broadwater: YOU ARE WHAT YOU THINK -Now based in the St. Pete area, This Georgia peach songbird by way of Mobile, Alabama will share her thoughts on the matter, good and bad, and sings straight into your soul with music of Cole Porter, Sondheim, and maybe a little Patsy Cline before the night is through. Cabaret theater at its best.

Jan 29th--Lori D. Shannon SUPERWOMAN DIED TONIGHT-Tampa legend Shannon tells it like it is, her life experiences and her family's struggle with addiction. Explores the myth of the Strong Black Woman and the burden of trying to live up to it with humor and grace. Stand up and take down. (R-Rated for language)

Feb 4th-Stephen K. Davis: THE BIRTH OF HUMOR-A Florida native, Stephen brings a brave stand-up comedy act is juxtaposed with a collection of real life events of a gay boy growing up in the Deep South who becomes an actor in New York. The truth of his stories informs his humor and the laughter makes everything possible.

SaraSolo Festival 2017 is one of Sarasota's most exciting new arts festivals. It provides a unique theatre experience, which celebrates the solo artist, showcasing an eclectic mix of 45-90 minute solo performances by 22 national and International Artists - featuring music, dance, cabaret, comedy, performance art, stand-up, and storytelling, as well as historical, biographical and poetic plays.
