A highly accomplished woman successfully joins NASA and embarks on a solo mission to Mars following her late husband's path. Initially filled with a cheerful demeanor, she finds herself alone on the spaceship stage, confiding in her computer and an answering machine stocked with messages from Earth.

As time progresses, we witness the gradual decline of her brilliant mind. Suffering from malnutrition, irregular sleep patterns, and a profound lack of human interaction, she spirals into a state of mental fragility. The weight of her isolation eventually takes its toll, causing her to reach a breaking point where she can no longer grapple with the stark reality and, pun aside, the gravity of her circumstances.

"Spaceman" takes the stage and boldly goes where not many have gone before - into the realms of Science and Sci-Fi. It offers a unique, multi-sensory experience that delves into the uncomfortable yet captivating breakdown of Molly's journey. Witness her helplessness as she hurtles towards her fate, sacrificing herself for the greater good of humanity. Terri Weagent shines under the spotlight, commanding the stage with her powerful performance in this mostly solo act. Her seamless transition through a rollercoaster of emotions, fueled by her expressive voice, facial expressions, and undeniable stage presence, truly brings this intense and gripping story to life.

Spaceman is at Urbanite Theatre through February 16th. Tickets are available at Spaceman | Urbanite Theatre for matinee and evening shows.
