The dueling piano event Piano Battle has sold out shows in Europe, the U.S. and Asia - and is packing the house for their Jan. 26 show in Anchorage. Currently the few remaining tickets are only available through an Anchorage Concert Association subscription (three or more shows in the season). In response to the demand for Piano Battle in Alaska, the Anchorage Concert Association has added a second, late-night set at 10 p.m. that evening.

Tickets to the added Piano Battle are available to Anchorage Concert Association subscribers now and the general public starting Aug. 21. Tickets are $25.

Tickets to all of Anchorage Concert Association's 2017/2018 season shows, including both Piano Battle performances, will be available to the general public at 10 a.m. Monday, Aug. 21, through CenterTix box office (907-263-ARTS) and anchorageconcerts.org.

From big Broadway musicals and rock stars to emerging artists and indie bands, the Anchorage Concert Association offers 28 shows this season. Anchorage audiences will rock out to Melissa Etheridge (Sept. 14-15), Straight No Chaser (Sept. 30), Postmodern Jukebox (Oct. 20), and Squirrel Nut Zippers (Feb. 9). Comedies like Menopause the Musical (April 3-8) and the Capitol Steps (March 16) lighten the mood. Favorites like One-Man Star Wars Trilogy (Dec. 1-2), The Nutcracker (Nov. 24-26) and Rodgers + Hammerstein's CINDERELLA (Oct. 24-29) bring families together and create wonderful memories.

The Anchorage Concert Association is also collaborating with local artists and organizations this season. For instance, as part of La Santa Cecilia's Anchorage show in November, the Anchorage Concert Association and local partners will host events, conversations and art exhibitions around town.

Subscribers have been able to order tickets since April, and they are taking advantage of early access to popular shows. In addition to Piano Battle's success, few tickets remain in the orchestra sections of Pink Martini, Postmodern Jukebox, and One-Man Star Wars Trilogy. Subscriptions of three or more shows are currently available through Anchorage Concert Association and offer discounts, seating before the general public, and flexible ticket exchanges.
