The Classical Boom Tour takes center stage as Black Violin returns to the Van Wezel Performing Arts Hall on Tuesday, November 27 at 7:30 PM. Wil Baptiste (viola) and Kev Marcus (violin) combine their classical training and hip-hop influences to create a distinctive multi-genre sound. NPR praised the duo and their recent album, saying "their music will keep classical music alive for the next generation."

Alongside artists such as Elton John, Edward Norton and Yo-Yo Ma, Black Violin was named a Turnaround Artist. Founded by President Obama's Committee on the Arts and the Humanities, Turnaround Arts is a national education program that infuses the arts into struggling schools. Additionally, Black Violin has shared stages with top names including Kanye West, Aerosmith and Tom Petty, and has creatively collaborated with the likes of Wu-Tang Clan, Wyclef Jean and Alicia Keys. Reserve your seats today and experience this talented duo as they fuse classical music and hip-hop - LIVE on stage!

Tickets are $32-$52. Purchase at VanWezel.org, the Box Office, or by calling 941-953-3368. This show is part of the Van Wezel Foundation Series and the Herald-Tribune Media Group's Cultural Series.
