Alan Cumming Sings Sappy Songs at the Van Wezel Performing Arts Hall on Sunday, March 5 at 7PM. Cumming has appeared in numerous films, television shows and plays but is perhaps best known for his role as Master of Ceremonies in Cabaret on Broadway for which he won a Tony and his role as Eli Gold on The Good Wife.

The hugely acclaimed emotionally charged cabaret show, Alan Cumming Sings Sappy Songs, premiered in 2015 at New York's Café Carlyle and has since toured throughout the US, Canada, Australia and the UK, most recently airing on PBS stations in November, 2016. Scottish native Cumming is clearly no stranger to the stage but took some time to discover that he needn't always be veiled by a character but could instead star as himself on stage. In 2009 he performed his first show I Bought A Blue Car Today as part of the American Songbook Series - the rest we could say, is history!

Described by Time Magazine as one of the three most fun people in show business! This is a show that you won't want to miss!

Tickets are $16-$76 available for purchase at VanWezel.org, the Box Office, or by calling 941-953-3368.
