"The Father," a gripping and emotionally intense play by Florian Zeller, delves into the complexities of dementia from the perspective of an elderly man named Andréi. As his world becomes increasingly disoriented and fragmented, the audience is taken on a powerful journey through the mind of someone struggling with this devastating condition masterfully portraying the confusion and heartbreak experienced by Andréi and his daughter, offering a poignant look at the impact of aging and memory loss. The play takes on these issues with profound honesty and charming humor peppered throughout.
The Father’s profound narrative was brought to an even wider audience with the Academy Award-winning film adaptation based on this play. Zeller directed the film as well. Only seven performances at Center Stage. Matinees are on the first weekend - Sat & Sunday @ 2pm.
