The Negaunee Conducting Program at the Colburn School, under the direction of Esa-Pekka Salonen, has received a significant endowment of $16.6 million from The Negaunee Foundation. This funding will ensure the program's sustainability and continue offering exceptional training to a select group of young conductors, referred to as Salonen Fellows. In the upcoming 2024-25 season, Mert Yalniz will join this prestigious program, which also includes access to Salonen's extensive score collection. The program provides a unique opportunity for aspiring conductors to gain mentoring and real-world experience while working with renowned orchestras globally.
