Kick off your holiday season in style with festive performances by The Santa Barbara Symphony and the Santa Barbara Youth Symphony, in addition to a Holiday Open House for the entire community, all taking place on Saturday, November 24. With music, activities and the anticipation of Christmas in the air, this is the perfect holiday programming to get guests into the spirit!
Bring the whole family to the FREE Family Concert Matinee on Saturday, November 24, beginning at 12 pm with a Holiday Open House (pre-show), followed by the Family Concert at 1 pm. This concert will be performed by the Santa Barbara Youth Symphony, who will play on the stage at the historic Granada Theatre for the first time ever! Arrive at noon for the open house and meet Santa and Mrs. Claus! While you wait, the Santa Barbara Symphony's Music Van will be on site, offering musical activities and showcasing all different types of instruments for the younger audience members to learn about and play. The magic continues that evening with The Santa Barbara Symphony's festive Holiday Pops, at 8 pm at the Granada Theatre. Broadway Singer and Actress Capathia Jenkins joins forces with the Symphony, led by Maestro Nir Kabaretti, to bring to life seasonal favorites such as Santa Claus Is Coming to Town, O Holy Night, and Baby It's Cold Outside. This holiday review includes timeless classics guaranteed to get you in the spirit, curated for your enjoyment by Kabaretti.
