SBCC Theatre Group will present a summer production of Time Of My Life by Alan Ayckbourn in the Interim Theatre, July 7-24, 2010. Directed by Rick Mokler and featuring Leesa Beck, Brian Harwell, Josh Jenkins, Jon Koons, Ed Lee, Katie Thatcher and Marisa Welby-Maini, Time Of My Life is a bittersweet comedy.
Gerry Stratton has organized a family dinner with his sons, Glyn and Adam at his favorite restaurant to celebrate his wife Laura's 54th birthday. Glyn is with his long suffering wife Stephanie; Adam has brought along his new girlfriend, an outrageous hairdresser, and they are both eager to impress. But family skeletons intrude on the celebration as the play hops across time zones: past, present and future. A dark comedy, Time of My Life is quintessential Ayckbourn: very funny, but not funny at all.
"A play by an inspired master craftsman and cunning psychologist working at full stretch: harsh and funny, simple and cunning, generous but unforgiving." London Sunday Times.
