From the Producers of The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee, Pinkalicious and Disney's Tarzan, Kelrik Productions returns to the Monroe Forum Theatre with an exciting line up for audiences of all ages. Kelrik Productions Artistic Director, Erik Austin, announced their return into the Los Angeles theater community with their CELEBRATE 2015 Season. After leaving the Excalibur Theater in Studio City nearly ten years ago then relocating to San Luis Obispo, Kelrik Productions is thrilled to be back in the heart of North Hollywood. Staging eight productions in 2015 for audiences of all ages, Kelrik is proud to call the Monroe Forum Theatre located in the historic El Portal Theatre its new home!
"There is no better way for me to share with you my ideas and dreams for Kelrik than returning to Los Angeles and expanding the company as Artistic Director. Kelrik is a magical place, with 20 years of glorious history of producing more than 120 musicals. The CELEBRATE 2015 season, and the seasons to come will look to the future of theatre in exciting and challenging ways, remaining loyal to Kelrik's standards," says Mr. Austin.
Our exciting selections for our Celebrate 2015 season include three incredible musicals in our "After Dark" series: Sweeney Todd, Violet and Urinetown. These shows are intended for Kelrik's adult audience; with curtain times only on Friday and Saturday evenings. Because of the "mature" nature of these performances, children under the age of 17 may only attend with a parent or guardian.
Of course Kelrik will also feature an exciting selection of the family friendly shows for which we are well known, beginning with everyone's favorite cupcake obsessed youngster, Pinkalicious! Brought back by popular demand, Pinkalicious is sure to delight fans of the fantastic children's book series. Next will be Alice's Wondrous Adventure and finally Ronald Dahl's Willy Wonka.
As a company, Kelrik is dedicated to the growth of our actors, theater-goers, and the artistic medium in which they all connect. Kelrik continues to work hard to remain a viable theater company offering new works as well as reviving old favorites. We will always uphold the standards and visions of Kelrik, which is to provide quality "edutainment", theater which both educates and entertains. Myths, parables and fables have traditionally been used to teach. Kelrik continues to build on this tradition, creating audience-pleasing productions that provide food for thought -- as well as being great fun.
