TheatreWorks Silicon Valley Presents "Hold These Truths" at Lucie Stern Theatre

TheatreWorks Silicon Valley kicks off its 2018/19 season with “Hold These Truths” by Jeanne Sakata, an inspiring true story following Gordon Hirabayashi, a Japanese-American student who fought internment to a relocation camp during WWII. Chronicling his journey from college all the way to the Supreme Court, and eventually to a Congressional Medal of Honor, this regional premiere directed by Lisa Rothe (“Confederates,” “Ropes,” “The Harassment of Iris Malloy,” and “Dear Elizabeth”) and starring Joel de la Fuente (Drama Desk nominee for his work in “Hold These Truths,” TV’s “Man in the High Castle”) celebrates the human spirit as Hirabayashi passionately defends his Constitutional rights against an unexpected adversary: his own country.
