Dance Series 1
The Man in Black by James Kudelka
Tutto Eccetto il Lavandino (everything but the kitchen sink) by Val Caniparoli
Salsa ’til Dawn, a World Premiere by Darrell Grand Moultrie
September 15-16, Walnut Creek
Charles Fox will perform LIVE at both performances in Walnut Creek for part of Salsa ’til Dawn.
Our 30th Anniversary Season kicks off with two favorites as well as a world premiere. Audiences have been clamoring for the return of James Kudelka’s The Man in Black, a searing and emotional piece set to cover songs recorded by Johnny Cash. Also back onstage is longtime Smuin collaborator Val Caniparoli’s playful Tutto Eccetto il Lavandino (everything but the kitchen sink). Finally, we’re delighted to present Salsa ’til Dawn, a world premiere by choreographer Darrell Grand Moultrie to an original Cuban jazz score by composer Charles Fox.
