Adapted in 1958 by Ira J. Bilowit & Wilson Lehr
Based on the play by John SteinbeckMusic by Alfred Brooks, Lyrics by Ira J. Bilowit
A revival of a musical adaptation from 1958. It was a commentary on the social climate at the time, which still resonates today. It speaks to the condition of the homeless, powerless and neglected people in a manner that compels us to look again at their plight.
