The San Francisco Symphony will honor Music Director Laureate Michael Tilson Thomas with a special concert on April 26, 2025, in celebration of his 80th birthday. Tilson Thomas will conduct performances of Benjamin Britten’s The Young Person’s Guide to the Orchestra and Ottorino Respighi’s Roman Festivals, along with additional works to be announced. This one-night-only event promises special surprises to commemorate MTT’s significant contributions to the classical music world and his lasting impact on the San Francisco Symphony.
