In The Shadow of Mt. Fuji at Phoenix Theater

In Cathy Midori Stonie's play In The Shadow of Mt. Fuji, Isamu is an embittered and lonely middle-aged man with no future. His overbearing mother's constant pestering to find a wife and start a new life has driven him deeper into isolation. To escape reality, he writes a manga, a Japanese graphic novel. Little does he know how that graphic novel will lead him to an old Japanese folktale, to Mt. Fuji, and to a strange young woman who will affect his destiny.
