ELEVATE at sjDANCEco

sjDANCEco's ELEVATE, featuring the San José Chamber Orchestra, opens the company's 22nd season with a dynamic interplay of contemporary and classic modern dance. Artistic Director Maria Basile curates this performance, showcasing both Bay Area and international choreographers, including Nhan Ho, Natasha Adorlee, Hsiang Hsiu Lin, Fred Mathews, and herself. The program includes works that explore themes of emotional resilience, self-perception, and artistic growth, all set to original music that enhances the dancers' expressive movements. Dancer Danielle Noda performs a pivotal solo, highlighting the influence of her burgeoning career on Basile's choreography.
