Next month, Cinnabar Theater in Sonoma County welcomes celebrated satirist Will Durst for his latest hit show. BoomeRaging: From LSD to OMG comes to Petaluma's beloved professional theater for two nights only on Thursday, June 5 and Sunday, June 8 at 8 PM.

Racking up rave reviews and sold-out houses in its recent San Francisco run, BoomeRaging is an uproarious tribute to the joys, achievements, and looming doom of the Baby Boom. In this rollicking 85-minute monologue, Durst encourages his Boomer brethren to fight back against gravity. Ably assisted by his genial wit and trusty overhead projector, he explores his generation's revolutions and evolution through sidesplitting segments such as "Still Doing Drugs, Only Now There's a Co-Pay" and "Hope I Die Before I... Oops, Too Late." It's funny, it's smart, and it's even uplifting. Come to Cinnabar to enjoy this heartfelt and hysterical show.

"Hilarious!" exclaims the San Francisco Examiner. "I found myself on the verge of uncontrollable laughter." "Highly recommended!" adds the New York Times. "Durst is at his sly, savvy best." "The show will appeal to all ages," asserts the Sacramento News & Review. "Tie-dye shirts and floral-print dresses are optional."

Widely acclaimed as one of the best satirists in the country, Will Durst pens a nationally syndicated humor column and is a frequent contributor on CNN, MSNBC, Fox News, and Current TV. He's earned five Emmy nominations and seven consecutive nominations for the American Comedy Awards (but he's never won anything!). His last solo show, Elect to Laugh, played for 41 weeks in San Francisco and a previous hit, The All-American Sport of Bipartisan Bashing, became a book and an off-Broadway sensation.

Tickets for BoomeRaging are only $20. Get seats online at any time by visiting cinnabartheater.org, or call the box office at 707-763-8920 between 10:00 AM and 3:00 PM on weekdays. Tickets may also be available at the door, but reservations are recommended as Cinnabar's shows often sell out.

Every year, Cinnabar Theater produces a thrilling mix of plays, musicals, operas, and concerts in a remarkable range of genres. Cinnabar's Young Rep offers extensive activities for local youth, and the Cinnabar Singers welcome anyone who wants to be part of a chorus. All these events take place in the iconic red schoolhouse perched atop a grassy hill on the outskirts of Petaluma.

Audiences have flocked to performances in this intimate setting since 1972, when Marvin and Jan Klebe established an arts center for the community. Along with their sons, they transformed a charming 1908 schoolhouse into a jewel-box theater that has hosted successful shows for four decades. Now Cinnabar is concluding another year of lively performances for its loyal audience.

Cinnabar Theater is located at 3333 Petaluma Boulevard North, just off Highway 101 and only minutes from historic downtown Petaluma. There's ample parking up on the hill... and a friendly herd of goats grazing in the neighboring field. For more information, or to purchase tickets, call 707-763-8920 or visit cinnabartheater.org.
