'Verry McVerry' Swings into NCTC 8/17

San Francisco's New Conservatory Theatre Center is proud to present Bay Area favorite, Maureen McVerry in Verry McVerry, beginning August 17 (opening August 18) through September 16 at Theatre III.

"Maureen McVerry graces the stage with a special Red Menace edition of Very McVerry, a salute to carrot-topped legends of showbiz along with McVerry's song favorites exploring dental romance, baseball fanaticism, and pet adoption," describe press notes, "Verry McVerry will have musical direction by Frank Johnson and is directed by Billy Philadelphia."

Acclaimed singer and performer, Maureen McVerry has previously performed at the American Conservatory Theatre and the Geffen Playhouse in Los Angeles in Shlemiel the First. Her other ACT credits include; Eliza Doolittle in Pygmalion, Kitty Packard in Dinner at Eight, the Gypsy in Scapin, and Sister Gabriella in The Pope and the Witch. Marin Theatre Company: Side by Side by Sondheim, You're Gonna Love Tomorrow, Born Yesterday, Room Service, and Noises Off. She is the winner of five Bay Area Theatre Critics' Circle Awards and two Drama-Logue Awards.

Performances are Fridays and Saturdays at 8PM and Sundays at 2PM. All performances will take place at The New Conservatory Theatre Center's Theatre III, located at 25 Van Ness Avenue near Market, in San Francisco, 94102.
