UNTITLED, ART Returns to San Francisco in 2018 ImageComing back to San Francisco after a successful inaugural edition in 2017, the art fair UNTITLED, Art opens next week. This year, it takes place at the Palace of Fine Arts.

At our booth (C13), we have many editions and unique works for sale. There are new editions by Josephine Pryde, Yuki Kimura, and Henrik Olesen. Recent editions by Camille Blatrix, K.r.m. Mooney, Martin Soto Climent, and many others are also available. Images and more information are here.

Elsewhere at the fair, the Wattis presents three audio works by Seth Price, who is on our mind this year.

On Saturday, January 13, Wattis Head of Operations & Publications Jeanne Gerrity participates in the panel Balancing Act, and on Sunday, Wattis Director & Chief Curator Anthony Huberman hosts a panel on machines and art. Full details below:

Balancing Act
Saturday, January 13
12:30 pm

This panel discussion explores the often precarious position of regional arts institutions and practitioners working within a larger international context. What strategies do different types of institutions employ in balancing a local outreach and international relevance? What are some of the benefits and challenges in working regionally? And how do writing and publishing practices play a role in moderating the relationship between the international and the local?

Panel Discussion
Sunday, January 14
2 pm

Wattis Director & Chief Curator Anthony Huberman moderates a panel discussion with Emma Acker, Associate Curator of American Art at the Fine Arts Museums of San Francisco, and the Contemporary Jewish Museum's Chief Curator Renny Pritikin on the influence of the machine on modern and contemporary art through the lens of three San Francisco exhibitions: Mechanisms at the Wattis, Contraption at the CJM, and Cult of the Machine at the de Young.
