The American Conservatory Theatre of San Francisco presents their revival of Lillian Hellman's The Little Foxes, beginning Oct. 27 through Nov. 26 under the direction of Laird Williamson.
"Playwright, activist, blacklisted screenwriter, and infamous rabble-rouser – Lillian Hellman retains to this day a captivating hold on American culture," states press notes, "
The Little Foxes showcases Hellman's unrivaled ability to throw her actors some of the meatiest roles in the modern canon and features the brilliantly manipulative anti-heroine Regina Giddens (a character memorably portrayed by both Bette Davis in William Wyler's 1941 film adaptation and Elizabeth Taylor in a 1981 Broadway revival of the play).
In Regina's wealthy family, the only thing that runs thicker than blood is cold, hard cash.
When a prospective business deal could guarantee them even greater riches, Regina and her brothers, Ben and Oscar, scramble to secure the spoils for themselves – by any means necessary.
The Little Foxes is Hellman at the top of her dramatic form."
The Little Foxes cast:
Jacqueline Antaramian (Regina Giddens), John Bull (Leo),
Julia Gibson (Birdie Hubbard), Grace Heid (Alexandra Giddens), Nicholas Hormann (Horace Giddens), Stephen Klum (William Marshall), Robert Parsons (Oscar Hubbard),
