The Bay Area's “Best Theater Company” Is Teaming Up With San Francisco's Most Prolific Venue ImageAfter a successful Bay Area tour, including four sold-out Best Of 2017 performances, the San Francisco Neo-Futurists are making PianoFight their new home. The San Francisco Neo-Futurists bring with them their ongoing, ever-changing show The Infinite Wrench, and their commitment to making timely, vital work. By joining the PianoFight community, the Neos will continue to seek new ways to experiment, push creative boundaries, and delight audiences of all kinds-including those unmoved by conventional theater.

The Infinite Wrench is a mechanism that unleashes an hour of hyper-short plays in a race against the clock, for a live audience. Each play offers something different, be it funny, profound, elegant, disgusting, topical, irreverent, terrifying, or in song. All are truthful and tackle the here-and-now, inspired by the lived experiences of the performers. Every week, the San Francisco Neo-Futurists write new plays to populate the show, meaning that The Infinite Wrench changes every time it's performed. Since the San Francisco Neo-Futurists' founding in November 2013, they've written and performed over 1,341 original short plays, been called "a hotbed of energy and creativity" by the San Francisco Chronicle, and have won a number of local awards, including "Best Theater Company" in the SF Bay Guardian's Best of the Bay 2017 and 2016 Readers Polls.

"PianoFight has established itself as a home for artists of all stripes around the Bay," says Amy Langer, Co-Artistic Director of the SF Neos. "It's known as a place where you can walk in any night of the week and see something astounding. We could not be more excited to add The Infinite Wrench to PianoFight's already stellar line-up."

PianoFight, now in its tenth year as a production house, and third year as a venue, will be adding the SF Neo-Futurists to an already impressive lineup that includes major festivals like SF SketchFest, the SF Fringe Festival, the SF Improv Festival, ShortLived and Pint Sized Plays, along with resident artists such as Killing My Lobster, Faultline Theater, Naked Empire Bouffon, Awesome Theater, Drunk Theater Co. and Sylvan Comedy.

The Infinite Wrench plays every Friday and Saturday night at 9:30pm at PianoFight, 144 Taylor St in San Francisco, beginning February 23. Tickets are $18 online at www.pianofight.com or $13 + the roll of a 6-sided die at the door ($14-$19).

PIANOFIGHT is San Francisco's landmark entertainment venue for indy arts, housing a cabaret stage with full service restaurant and bar and two intimate theaters. We present New Work by New Artists, most of whom are local. In addition to producing the largest audience-judged theater competition in the country, ShortLived, PianoFight hosts or produces over 1,500 performances per year, more than any other venue in Northern California. Shows run the gamut from world-premiere dramas to inventive sketch comedy, choose-your-own-ending plays to interactive dance comedy, improv to variety shows, literary events, podcasts, film screenings, game shows and more.
