THE ACCIDENTAL CLUB - A New Musical About Life, Fame, Addiction And Death Comes to SF Fringe  ImageBillie Holiday, Janis Joplin, Amy Winehouse and Judy Garland welcome their newest member to the Accidental Club, Mira Dawson, a washed-up rock star who dies of an accidental overdose while celebrating her come back tour.

Mira wins a trip back to earth for one night only to spend it however and with whomever she likes. She chooses one last concert with her faithful fans. Throughout the concert, Mira and the other members reveal secrets and impart songs of love, fame, addiction and death. As the clock ticks toward midnight, discoveries are made and Mira becomes increasingly anxious as she realizes she's not waking up... Will she? Will we?

Sherrie Scott stars as both Mira and her famous new companions. Larry Tasse plays Frankie, her mysterious accompanist on piano. This deeply engaging musical contains many original compositions by Ms. Scott as well as several classic blues, rock and jazz tunes made famous by these iconic singers.

Sherrie Scott's passion for developing new plays began as a member University of Iowa's Playwrights Actors Ensemble and as a member of The Boston Theater Group. She has acted, written, collaborated and directed numerous original productions. Some of her credits include Caught in the Act, Miscalculations of the Heart, Something's Going On, The Executive's Sorcerer and Bitten by a Snake and countless other productions.

Co-founder of Awareness Media-Entertainment on Purpose, with her husband, Producer, Chip Frye, they have produced humanitarian documentary films for myriad of NGOs around the world. Their United Nations World Humanitarian Day film The Price, in which Sherrie stars and wrote the title song, was seen on BBC World by millions. Sherrie is also a recording artist with several albums and two original musical soundtracks to her credit.

Trace Oakley directs. He has over 50 directorial credits of shows across the country and on national and international tours. His Los Angeles directing credits include Spindle City: The Lizzie Borden Musical, RuddiGORE, Pearly Gates, Crimes of the Heart, Bob Cratchit and Mr. Tightwad, Lovers and Other Strangers, Standing on My Knees and Carrie That Tune: Hit Songs From Flop Musicals.
