Spreckels Theatre Company in Rohnert Park presents "Deathtrap," the classic Broadway hit by Ira Levin.
Once a successful writer of Broadway thrillers, playwright Sidney Bruhl has become a bitter, cynical, desperate playwright after an 18-year dry spell of box office flops. Sidney has reached the point where he would kill for a really good script.
Sidney seizes the opportunity for a reversal of fortune when he receives a script from a student playwright - a thriller which Sidney recognizes would be a smashing Broadway success. It's perfect, well - to be perfectly honest, it's to die for. With plot twists and thrills, this suspenseful comic mystery leaves everyone dying with laughter.
David Yen directs the comic thriller featuring John Shillington as Sidney Bruhl, Karen Clancy as Myra Bruhl; and Ben Sweeney Acedo as Clifford Anderson.
