Between Yesterday and Tomorrow is an original short, three character play by Bay Area director and playwright Karen Byrnes who is known for her recent direction of Holes at Hillbarn.A daughter finds pen pal letters that her mother received from an American soldier in Vietnam from 1968 after 40 years. As the daughter reads each page, we hear the letters as they are written in the soldier's voice. These letters are of particular significance on the day that she finds them with a powerful ending that brings the story back to the present.
Following the reading, a panel discussion will take place with former Vietnam veterans.
Tickets are $10 . For tickets and information, please call the Hillbarn Box Office at 650.349.6411 or visit www.HillbarnTheatre.org.Hillbarn Theatre's ReaderStage presents a series of staged,"on-book" readings of new works by local playwrights. Our commitment is to helping further the development of American theatre by providing the opportunity for the playwright to have their works presented before an audience and receive feedback. Lively discussion will follow the reading which helps the playwright hone their work with an eye towards publication licensing and the mounting of a full-scale production.
