Set in Calgary during World War II, five women gather to work for the war effort while men they love are away. The women discover their own battles as they respond to civilian life during the war.
This portrait of a bygone era features vignettes, monologues and musical interludes from 1940's which underscore the women's stories and struggles.
"Waiting for the Parade" highlights dynamics and tensions; reflects the paradox of war; and demonstrates how perseverance and character is revealed under the pressure of extraordinary circumstances.
Featuring Katee Drysdale, Anna Leach, Kat Ray, Emily Rice and Valerie Ruiz. Directed by Danielle Cain
