Ray of Light Theatre is proud to present The Secret Garden in Concert at the Brava Theatre for one weekend only, March 23, 24, and 25.
"Based on the novel by Frances Hodgson Burnett, Tony-award winning The Secret Garden is the beautiful and uplifting story of Mary Lennox. Orphaned while living in India, Mary is sent to England to live with her uncle, Archibald Craven, in a dark and gloomy mansion. Having never recovered from the death of his wife, he insists on keeping most of the mansion locked up – including her favorite garden. Mary's arrival lifts the shadow of grief cast upon the manor, restoring life not only to the garden, but also to the lives of the family inside. The Secret Garden in Concert, with music by Lucy Simon and book by Marsha Norman, will be presented in a concert format with an on-stage orchestra and large chorus."
