The San Francisco Giants announcers Mike Krukow and Duane Kuiper have stepped up to the plate in support of the Foothill Music Theatre's production of DAMN YANKEES the Tony Award-winning baseball musical. The show features some recorded play-by-play radio game announcements and Director Tom Gough knew the show needed the snap of professional broadcasters. So a plea went out to Kruk and Kuip, who happily agreed to lend their golden voices and recorded the spots describing Hank Bauer and Mickey Mantle coming up to bat against the Washington Senators. Audiences are now hearing the familiar tones of these two Bay Area icons in the production DAMN YANKEES which is now playing through August 18 in the Smithwick Theatre at Foothill College in Los Altos Hills.

With book by George Abbott and Douglass Wallop, DAMN YANKEES, the musical story of a baseball fanatic who makes a deal with the devil to get his team a chance at the pennant, features a memorable Richard Adler and Jerry Ross score including "Whatever Lola Want, Lola Gets," and (You've Gotta Have) "Heart." The public may purchase tickets ($12 - $28) online at www.foothillmusicals.com or by calling (650) 949- 7360.
