The San Francisco Bay Area Theatre Critics Circle has announced the hosts for its 43rd Annual Excellence in Theatre Awards Gala to be held on Monday, March 25, 2019 at San Francisco's historic Victoria Theatre. The event will be co-hosted by singer and actress Daniela Innocenti Beem and author and playwright David Templeton.

Daniela Innocenti Beem is a Bay Area actress and singer whose talent has been recognized with two SFBATCC Excellence in Theatre Awards as well as awards from Theatre Bay Area and the Marquee Theater Journalists Association. Some of her favorite roles include: Miss Hannigan in Annie, Dolly Levi in Hello, Dolly!, Aldonza in Man Of La Mancha, Adelaide in Guys and Dolls, Trina in Falsettos, Mama Morton in Chicago, Norma Valverde in Hands on a Hardbody, and Mama Rose in Gypsy. She is the co-creator and half of "The Dynamic Duet" with Julie Johnson Ekoue-Totou, a cabaret act that has been playing to sold out houses all over the Bay Area for the last 7 years. Daniela's next non-hosting role will be as Vern in Bingo! The Winning Musical at Napa's Lucky Penny Productions.

David Templeton is a longtime Bay Area writer, journalist, producer, performer, and playwright whose involvement in theatre began in his parochial school Nativity Pageant. Kindergarteners always played sheep, but he made the bold choice to color his sheep costume black. Upon entering at the end of a parade of 27 white sheep, David received a standing ovation and has been hooked on theatre ever since. David's one-man show Wretch Like Me played both the San Francisco and Edinburgh Fringe Festivals and his latest play, Drumming with Anubis, will open at Santa Rosa's Left Edge Theatre in June.

The SFBATCC is a private 501(c)(6) non-profit organization dedicated to promoting and serving theatres of all types and sizes in the greater region by recognizing excellence and outstanding achievement in the field. Active since 1976, the Circle consists of reviewers covering theatre in all nine Bay Area counties across various media.
