Where does a water drop go?
That's the central question in an interactive, theatrical experience for babies and toddlers that opens Friday, February 3, at the Children's Creativity Museum,221 4th Street, San Francisco, CA 94103.
Created by Children's Fairyland and the Bay Area Children's Theatre (BACT), Splish Splash debuted last fall in Oakland and now moves to San Francisco, where it will play Fridays at 10 a.m. and weekends at 10 a.m. and 11:15 a.m. through Sunday, April 2.
This Theatre for the Very Young (TVY) production, specially designed for children from six months to four years old, explores the wonders of water and helps young audience members discover what this precious resource means to us. Children will be invited to follow a drop of water from the bathtub through pipes to the ocean and up into the clouds. As the actors gently propel the story forward, pipes will become musical instruments that the children can play and a friendly "octopus" will emerge from the ocean to be petted.
