SHN announced in a letter to Members that the 2014 Tony Award winner for Best Musical, A GENTLEMAN'S GUIDE TO LOVE & MURDER, will play a limited engagement at the SHN Golden Gate Theatre December 1-27, 2015.

A GENTLEMAN'S GUIDE TO LOVE & MURDER is the first show to be announced as part of the SHN 2015-2016 season. Remaining shows and SHN Membership details will be announced at a later date.

"A GENTLEMAN'S GUIDE TO LOVE & MURDER is exactly the type of smart, fun and surprise-filled production that we wanted to anchor the 2015-2016 SHN Season," said Greg Holland, SHN Chief Executive Officer. "I can't wait to tell everyone about the fantastic lineup that will join A GENTLEMAN'S GUIDE TO LOVE & MURDER on the upcoming season."

Getting away with murder can be so much fun... and there's no better proof than the knock-'em-dead hit show that's earned unanimous raves and won the 2014 Tony Award for BEST MUSICAL- A GENTLEMAN'S GUIDE TO LOVE & MURDER!

Coming direct from New York, where a most gentlemanly NPR critic said he'd "NEVER LAUGHED SO HARD AT A BROADWAY MUSICAL," GENTLEMAN'S GUIDE tells the uproarious story of Monty Navarro, a distant heir to a family fortune who sets out to jump the line of succession by - you guessed it - eliminating the eight pesky relatives (all played by one fearless man) who stand in his way. All the while, Monty has to juggle his mistress (she's after more than just love), his fiancée (she's his cousin but who's keeping track?), and the constant threat of landing behind bars! Of course, it will all be worth it if he can slay his way to his inheritance... and be done in time for tea.

The Hollywood Reporter raves, "GENTLEMAN'S GUIDE RESTORES OUR FAITH IN MUSICAL COMEDY" and The New York Times cheers, "IT WILL LIFT THE HEARTS OF ALL THOSE WHO'VE BEEN PINING FOR WHAT SOMETIMES SEEMS A LOST ART FORM."

GENTLEMAN'S GUIDE officially opened at Broadway's Walter Kerr Theatre to overwhelming critical acclaim on Sunday, November 17, 2013, following smash-hit runs at The Hartford Stage and San Diego's Old Globe Theatre. It went on to become the most nominated and honored production of the 2013-14 Broadway season, winning the Tony, the Drama Desk, the Drama League, and the Outer Critics Circle awards for Best Musical. GENTLEMAN'S GUIDE is the winner of four 2014 Tony Awards including Best Musical, Direction of a Musical (Darko Tresnjak), Book of a Musical (Robert L. Freedman), and Costume Design of a Musical (Linda Cho).

GENTLEMAN'S GUIDE recently shattered the Walter Kerr Theatre's house record for highest single-week gross, during the week ending December 28, 2014. The show-no stranger to milestones-also recently celebrated its First Anniversary on Broadway, broke the cumulative box office record for the Walter Kerr Theatre, and received a 2015 Grammy Award nomination for its Original Cast Recording.

A GENTLEMAN'S GUIDE TO LOVE & MURDER features a book and lyrics by Robert L. Freedman and music and lyrics by Steven Lutvak. Direction is by Darko Tresnjak, with choreography by Peggy Hickey. The design team includes Alexander Dodge (Scenic Design), Linda Cho (Costume Design), Philip S. Rosenberg (Lighting Design), Dan Moses Schreier (Sound Design), Aaron Rhyne (Projections Design), and Charles LaPointe (Wig Design). Orchestrations are by Jonathan Tunick and Vocal Arrangements are by Dianne Adams McDowell and Steven Lutvak. Paul Staroba serves as Music Director.
