SHN Launches Hair eParty

SHN is launching the Hair eParty - a unique interactive experience for theater-goers attending the revival of Hair: The American Tribal Love-Rock Musical at San Francisco's Golden Gate Theatre (playing October 25 - November 20).

During the show's famous finale, audience members are invited onstage to dance alongside the cast of Hair. At every performance, this communal dance party will be recorded live and posted online as the Hair eParty on SHN's official eParty page (eparty.shnsf.com), where you can view a special message from the cast.

The following day fans can visit (eparty.shnsf.com) to watch the video, find and tag themselves and share their onstage experience via email, Facebook and Twitter.

The Hair eParty gives Bay Area audiences a chance to take a trip back to their onstage moment of transcendence and share the exciting experience with their tribe of social connections.

Hair depicts the birth of a cultural movement in the 60's and 70's that changed America forever. The musical follows a group of hopeful, free-spirited young people who advocate a lifestyle of pacifism and free-love in a society riddled with intolerance and brutality during the Vietnam War. As they explore sexual identity, challenge racism, experiment with drugs and burn draft cards, the show resonates with an irresistible message of hope more than 40 years after it first opened on Broadway.
The score includes such enduring musical numbers as "Let the Sun Shine In," "Aquarius," "Hair" and "Good Morning Starshine." Hair won the 2009 Tony Award for Best Musical Revival as well as the Drama Desk, Drama League, and Outer Critics Circle award for Outstanding Revival of a Musical.
