SHN is pleased to announce the 2009-2010 Citibank Best of Broadway season, under the direction of Carole Shorenstein Hays and Robert Nederlander presented at San Francisco's Orpheum, Curran and Golden Gate Theatres. SHN, the pre-eminent theatrical entertainment company in San Francisco, offers the ultimate Broadway experience to all Bay Area audiences.

A perennial hit since it first opened in 1964, FIDDLER ON THE ROOF has enjoyed critical acclaim for bringing to the stage a poignant story about the enduring bonds of the family. Now, the national touring production of this timeless musical brings the wit and wisdom of Tevye and his family to audiences throughout the United States and features the reproduction of Jerome Robbins' famous masterpiece including his original direction and choreography.

Topol and the film adaptation of FIDDLER ON THE ROOF were both nominated for the Academy Award in their respective categories and Topol won the Golden Globe for his performance. He is now joining this tour on the heels of a successful production in the South Pacific. Topol reprised his performance as Tevye in a London revival. He then starred in a subsequent Broadway revival, and was nominated for a Tony Award for Best Performance by a Leading Actor in a Musical.

IN THE HEIGHTS is the winner of a 2008 Grammy Award for Best Original Cast Album and four 2008 Tony Awards including Best Musical. Although IN THE HEIGHTS takes place in a vibrant tight-knit community at the top of the island of Manhattan, the show is about the bonds that develop in any neighborhood and resonates for all audiences. This original new musical features dynamic choreography and contemporary music pulsating with the hopes and dreams of three generations as they struggle to forge an identity in a neighborhood on the brink of transition.

In November 2008, Universal Pictures acquired the rights to produce a feature film based on IN THE HEIGHTS.
