RENT
THE GROUNDBREAKING CULT MUSICAL
RETURNS TO SAN FRANCISCO'S GOLDEN GATE THEATRE
JULY 25 - AUGUST 6, 2006
RENT, the critically acclaimed Tony Award and Pulitzer Prize winning Broadway musical written by Jonathan Larson and directed by
Michael Greif that inspired a major motion picture (which was filmed recently in the Bay Area), returns to San Francisco.
RENT, celebrating its 10th anniversary on Broadway, is presented as a special attraction on the
2005-2006 Best of Broadway season brought to you by Citibank, under the direction of
Carole Shorenstein Hays.
Inspired by Puccini's La Boheme,
RENT is a joyous, breathtaking and often bittersweet musical that celebrates a community of artists as they struggle with the soaring hopes and tough realities of today's world. Set in the East Village of New York City,
RENT is about being young and learning to survive, falling in love, finding your voice and living for today.
Performance schedule:
- TUESDAY – FRIDAY at 7:30 p.m.
