Inside Out & Back Again brings to the stage the New York Times bestselling book of the same name by award-winning author Thanhha Lai-the story of 10-year-old Hà, who flees war-ravaged Saigon with her mother and brothers and must start a new life as a refugee in Alabama.

May Liang (director) has worked with Crowded Fire, TheaterFirst, California Shakespeare Theater, Just Theater, Ferocious Lotus Theater Company, Bindlestiff Studios, Ubuntu Theater Project, Berkeley Repertory Theater's Ground Floor Lab, and Impact Theater. She was also a participant in the Lincoln Center Theater Director's Lab 2017 in New York City. Liang graduated from the University of California, Berkeley, with degrees in Theatre Arts/Performance Studies and Integrative Biology.
