Desperate efforts "to make ends meet" becomes a comical tangle of escapades in "We Won't Pay! We Won't Pay!" - a farce featuring a comic duo who experience escapades reminiscent of the Lucy and Ethel characters in "I Love Lucy."
After participating in a riot protesting the high prices at a local grocery store, two women find themselves tangled in a web of lies involving groceries and a fake pregnancy. Oh boy, these two will have some real explaining to do. A period of struggle and tough economic times serves as the backdrop for this comedy of "hunger" which examines how humor prevails over desperation.
