Contra Costa Civic Theatre (CCCT) continues its 55th season with John Patrick Shanley's Pulitzer Prize winner, Doubt: A Parable, directed by Daren A.C. Carollo, playing weekends from tomorrow, February 13 through March 8, 2015. BroadwayWorld has a first look at the cast onstage below!

Doubt: A Parable presents a gripping tale set in a Bronx Catholic school in 1964. A young progressive priest, Father Flynn, is working to modernize the school's strict customs, placing him into direct conflict with the authoritarian principal of the school, Sister Aloysius. When Sister James, a young teacher at the school, shares with Sister Aloysius her suspicion that Father Flynn has met secretly with one of the students, the principal's suspicious nature leads her to believe the worst. Armed with moral certainty she begins crusading to remove Flynn from the school, and if possible, the priesthood. Now Flynn and Aloysius find themselves locked in an epic battle that threatens to destroy the church and school they both serve.

The cast for CCCT's production includes Scarlett Hepworth as Sister Aloysius, Steve Rhyne as Father Flynn, Mikkel Simons as Sister James, and Kimberly Ridgeway as Mrs. Muller.

The design team includes Kuo-Hao Lo (set design), Lisa Danz (costume design), Hamilton Guillén (lighting design), Michael Kelly (sound design), and Devon LaBelle (props). The production is stage managed by Georgia Benedict.

Single tickets for Doubt: A Parable are available online at www.ccct.org or by phone at 510.524.9032. Adult tickets are $22 in advance, or $28 at the door; youth tickets for ages 16 and under are $11 in advance, or $15 at the door. All performances take place at CCCT's intimate and fully accessible theatre in the Flynn building located at 951 Pomona Avenue (cross street Moeser) in El Cerrito.
