Leave your troubles outside for the 6th Street Playhouse production of "Cabaret," directed by David Lear, which runs April 15 to May 15, 2011. This production is for mature audiences.
"Cabaret" is set in Berlin at the end of the Jazz Age, just before Hitler's rise to power in Germany. One escape from reality is at the decadent Kit Kat Klub cabaret. The Tony award-winning musical cleverly reflects political and social turbulence as it follows an idealistic American writer, Clifford Bradshaw and the Kit Kat Klub's irrepressible performer, Sally Bowles - out of the club and into the reality of 1930s Berlin.
