"When choosing the first show for our fourth season," said Director Matthew McCoy, "I knew I wanted to open with a quintessential classic musical comedy, and specifically one that has not been seen recently in the Bay Area. No show fits that criteria better than CRAZY FOR YOU. Not only does it contain all of the classic Gershwin songs we know and love, but it tells a sweet, hilarious story (filled to the brim with true love, gun-fighting cowboys and side-splitting high jinks). I am especially excited to recreate Susan Stroman's Tony Award-winning choreography on the Alcazar stage. With giant tap numbers, hysterical mistaken identities, unlikely romance and fish-out-of-water antics, CRAZY FOR YOU will leave our audiences in stitches (and humming all the way home). It is the perfect Holiday experience for the whole family."
The cast of CRAZY FOR YOU will feature Danielle Altizio as "Polly Baker," Conor DeVoe* as "Bobby Child," Morgan Peters as "Irene Roth," Tony Michaels as "Bela Zangler," Mary Gibboney as "Lottie/Patricia Fodor," PAUL PLAIN as "Perkins/Eugene Fodor," Charles Evans as "Everett Baker," Sean McGrory as "Lank Hawkins," Dani Cheiken as "Tess," Leslie Waggoner as "Patsy," Zoe Swenson-Graham as "Mitzi," Alyson Chilton as "Elaine," Katie Baritell as "Louise," Laura Morgan as "Susie," Lucas Brandt as "Moose," Mitchell Moseley as "Mingo," Jean-Paul Jones as "Sam," Patrick Brewer as "Harry," Brendan Looney as "Junior" and JESSE CORTEZ as "Custus."

A zany rich-boy-meets-hometown-girl romantic comedy, CRAZY FOR YOU tells the story of young New York banker Bobby Child, who is sent to Deadrock, Nevada, to foreclose on a rundown theatre. In Deadrock, Bobby falls for spunky Polly Baker, the theater owner's daughter. But Polly takes an instant dislike to the city slicker, so Bobby vows - through cunning, razzmatazz, and a hilarious case of mistaken identity - to win Polly's heart and save the theatre. Memorable Gershwin tunes from the score include "I Got Rhythm," "Naughty Baby," "They Can't Take That Away from Me," "Embraceable You," "But Not for Me," "Nice Work if You Can Get It," and "Someone to Watch Over Me."
CRAZY FOR YOU runs two hours and thirty minutes, including one intermission.
