PETE THE CAT Opens In Sunnyvale August 11 ImageBay Area Children's Theatre (BACT) brings a rollicking musical version of "Pete the Cat," to Sunnyvale for two weekends, starting Saturday, August 11.

Inspired by the popular Pete the Cat books by James and Kimberly Dean, "Pete the Cat" rocks out August 11 - 19 at the Sunnyvale Community Center, 550 E. Remington Drive, Sunnyvale, CA 94087, with performances on Saturday at 10:30 a.m., 1:30 p.m., and 4:00 p.m. and Sunday at 10:30 a.m. and 1:30 p.m.

When Pete, the grooviest, guitar-slinging cat in town, meets the Biddles, he turns their lives into a "really, really, really big adventure." Children will giggle their way through the 55-minute production, and adults will appreciate the show's '60s vibe and its fidelity to the Pete the Cat illustrations.

"Pete the Cat" is directed by Scottie Woodard, with book and lyrics by Sarah Hammond and music by Will Aaronson. Recommended for ages 3 - 8.

Tickets ($17 - $28) are going fast. To reserve: www.bactheatre.org or call (510) 296-4433.
