Transcendence Theatre Company, producers of "Broadway Under the Stars in Jack London State Park," is well-known to Bay Area audiences for its unique programming of concerts throughout Sonoma County. In fact Transcendence has won numerous awards from Broadway World San Francisco, including top prizes "Theater of the Year" in 2013 & 2014 and "Best Special Theater Event" for the last three consecutive years.
On April 12th, Transcendence will bring its original production "Oh What a Beautiful Mashup" to the Napa Valley Opera House for a one night only special event. This concert of hilarious, show-stopping medleys and powerhouse performances was created by Transcendence founders
Stephan Stubbins and
Leah Sprecher and was built from the success of their duets in Transcendence's "Broadway Under the Stars" concerts.
Stubbins serves as Co-Executive Director for Transcendence and his past credits include the Broadway production of Mary Poppins as well as opening for
Frank Sinatra at the Cincinnati Music Hall. Sprecher was in the original touring production of
Happy Days the Musical and was a member of the famed Groundlings Improv Company in Los Angeles.
Transcendence Theatre Company's mission is to create transcendent experiences that inspire others to go beyond the usual limits and change the world in extraordinary ways. Says Transcendence Artistic Director
Amy Miller, "We are thrilled to be able to bring this exciting production to Napa. We thank the Napa Valley Opera House for the opportunity to be part of the wonderful work they continue to do and we look forward to experiencing the magic of their audiences."
Following a recent sold out performance at the magnificent Paradise Ridge amphitheater, "Oh What A Beautiful Mashup" offers a funny, touching, and uplifting evening of songs and surprises.
