Returning to the Opera House for what is proving to be another popular performance, the five men of Rockapella bring a new flavor of contemporary pop music to audiences; one that has spread across the United States, Asia and Europe. Rockapella's widespread appeal has built legions of fans throughout the USA and across the globe. Since 2003, Rockapella has been crossing the country with their annual "Rockapella Holiday" tour, spreading the joy of the holiday season through their music. Rockapella has also collaborated with the world famous Boston Pops orchestra and together they've sold-out venues throughout the US.

Rockapella reached its first milestone as a featured performer on the PBS television special Do It A Cappella, hosted by acclaimed filmmaker Spike Lee. Created to showcase the supreme capability and virtuosity of the human voice, the program was a perfect platform for Rockapella's talent and infectious energy to be noticed.

When their appearance on Do It A Cappella hit the airwaves, the doo-wop stereotype of vocal group pop music was crushed and crushed so hard that PBS eagerly came calling again. They quickly requested Rockapella not only write and record the theme music for their soon-to-be-hit show Where in the World is Carmen Sandiego? but asked that the group star in the show as the house band.

HBO caught the buzz and cast Rockapella alongside Hollywood stars Whoopi Goldberg & Denzel Washington in their hit family series, Happily Ever After: Fairy Tales for Every Child. The group then went on to appear on other programs including The Tonight Show with Jay Leno, NBC's Today Show, The Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade, The CBS Early Show, to name a few.
Rockapella's recently-released album Bang stays true to the group's roots of melding soul, rock, rhythm and blues together to form their trademark style of contemporary pop music. "Bang" is Rockapella's 13th studio release --their first new album since 2004 -- and is the first to feature their newest member, Steven Dorian. The album features 12 all-original tracks (at least one written by each band member), a new-to-the-world track by songwriter Vincent John D'Annunzio, plus a bonus track cover of Vampire Weekend's A-Punk.

"‘Bang' sounds like Rockapella live, but in a modern, aggressive studio with sharp edges," says Scott Leonard, Rockapella's high tenor. "The songs are deconstructed. The performances and arrangements are naked and loud, the mixes are edgy and bumpin'. The result...unforgettable."

Rockapella vocal percussionist Jeff Thacher stated enthusiastically, "'Bang' successfully shows off our completely human take on contemporary music - everything about it is alive; it's real and its blood is pumping! Fans can get up close and hear its pulse, or sit back and just enjoy. The unique mix of vocal talent that has always been the magic of Rockapella is unmistakable. "Bang" grabs your attention and can speak to every listener on a fundamental level we all share."
