NCTC Presents TREEFALL, 1/21-28

NCTC is proud to present Treefall by Henry Murray and directed by Ben Randle. The show previews January 21 - 28, (Press Night is Friday, January 28th), opens on Saturday, January 29th and runs through February 27, 2011: Wednesdays through Saturdays at 8pm and Sundays at 2pm. All performances will take place at The New Conservatory Theatre Center (Walker Theatre), located at 25 Van Ness Ave. near Market St. in San Francisco, 94102. The most primal aspects of erotic attraction, and the dynamics of competition among siblings and parents, and even the foundations of civilization itself play themselves out in this post-apocalyptic drama set in the Pacific Northwest, as modern civilization lies in ruins.  As four characters form a makeshift family, Treefall examines how our culture sees and instills gender, identity, and family. After receiving its World Premiere in Los Angeles, Treefall was named one of the top ten plays of 2009 by LA Weekly.
