Miranda Sings is the hottest, freshest. and oddest breakout star in the musical theatre/cabaret scene. Whether getting hundreds of thousands of hits on YouTube or packing venues and theatres in Los Angeles, New York and London's West End, Miranda dazzles audiences with her awe-inspiring versions of songs from "Dance: 10; Looks: 3" to her one of a kind "Single Ladies" interpretation. You won't want to miss the woman being touted as the female Andy Kaufman!
Miranda Sings is an internet character created by a California-based theatre student and proliferated via YouTube. The character is a satire of increasingly common YouTube videos featuring mediocre or even bad singers who film themselves singing as a form of self-promotion. Miranda sings comically off-key and pretends to take herself seriously. The character includes facial tics, particularly unusually active eyebrows and a crooked smile. She also wears lipstick drawn beyond the borders of her lips and often dances stiffly to the music she is performing. Miranda has enjoyed widespread popularity, particularly among musical theater fans, and has recently appeared under the alias "Miranda Sings" at live club and theater venues in New York Los Angeles and London.
Ryan O'Connor, a graduate of the Circle in the Square Theater School, has been working in the cabaret and music scenes in New York for several years. He is the host of the YouTube chat show "The Ryan O'Connor Show". Quickly becoming a premiere source for pop culture tidbits and social commentary, Ryan is also a seasoned performer and excited to be climbing the ladder of cabaret success. Co-host of "The Star Spot" in Los Angeles, Ryan has extensive film, TV and theatrical credits including "How I Met Your Mother", "The School of Rock", "RRRedd, a new musical" and "Chicken."
