42nd Street Moon's first "Salon Evening" salutes the words of lyricist and librettist Dorothy Fields. In her 45-year career, Ms. Fields wrote lyrics to the music of Jerome Kern, Cy Coleman, Jimmy McHugh, Harold Arlen, Albert Hague, Arthur Schwartz, Harry Warren and others. Her catalogue of song hits includes I Can't Give You Anything But Love, On the Sunny Side Of the Street, A Fine Romance, I'm In the Mood For Love, The Way You Look Tonight, Make the Man Love Me, Big Spender, and If My Friends Could See Me Now.
The second night takes a look at the songs of Ira Gershwin. Ira's career spanned the 20th century, and brought the world a dazzling array of songs written with his brother George as well as Harold Arlen, Kurt Weill, Jerome Kern, Vernon Duke, and others, including Fascinating Rhythm, Embraceable You, The Man That Got Away, The Saga of Jenny, Who Cares?, Long Ago and Far Away, The Man I Love, and Someone to Watch Over Me.

Her long list of Broadway credits include: HOW TO SUCCEED IN BUSINESS...., A FUNNY THING HAPPENED..., ON THE TOWN, PROMISES-PROMISES and COMPANY.
Huffman first hit Broadway as a drag queen in the original production of La Cage Aux Folles. In 2001, she originated the role of Ulla in The Producers: the new Mel Brooks Musical, for which she received the Tony, Drama Desk and Outer Critics Circle Awards. Her film credits include Hero (starring Dustin Hoffman, Geena Davis, and Andy Garcia); John Turturro's Romance & Cigarettes and The Nanny Diaries. She also appears in The Company Men, Dare and Choose, three films scheduled to be released in 2010. She co-produced, starred in and co-designed the film Sunday On The Rocks which played at several film festivals around the country and won 2nd Place Feature at New Haven Film Festival in 2004. Some of her guest starring television appearances include Amber Licious on Frasier, a murder victim on Law & Order: Criminal Intent, a convincing witness on Law & Order: Trial By Jury and the Barking Woman on Mad About You. She also appeared as "herself" in several episodes of HBO's Curb Your Enthusiasm and was the 2nd Dr. Paige Miller on One Life to Live. She is a regular judge on Food Network's Iron Chef America and was recently described by host Alton Brown as the "Kitty Carlisle Hart of kitchen stadium". She has had the privilege of working with Blake Edwards for the last 12 years on a new musical titled "Big Rosemary" in which she plays the title role. With a terrific new score by Drowsy Chaperone's Lisa Lambert and Greg Morrison, they hope to bring the show to Broadway in the 2010-11 season. Cady lives in Brooklyn with her husband and their menagerie of pets.
