Marin Theatre Company continues to pull the heartstrings of children and adults this season by proudly producing the Nappy's Puppets show Father Goose's Tales to kick off their 2016-17 Family Series season. The incredibly talented Jim Napolitano enchants the stage with his menagerie of co-stars: the many characters that come to life through the magic of puppetry! He uses his keen talents to both mesmerize children and entertain adults with humor, song, and rhyme in this heartwarming tale. Children will adore the creative storytelling technique, large and loveable puppets, and charismatic charm Napolitano brings to every performance.
For thousands of years, man has manipulated puppets in storytelling for a variety of reasons: religion, education, and entertainment. One of the oldest and most wonderful forms of puppetry is shadow puppetry. Nappy's Puppets is dedicated to presenting quality puppet theater to audiences of all ages. The goal of each performances is to entertain, inspire and educate the audience on the range and scope of puppetry as an art form.
Jim "Uncle Nappy" Napolitano, a New England native, has been producing puppet theatre for more than twenty years. His highly unique and engaging productions provide entertainment for all ages. Jim has an unsurpassed passion for engaging with audience members big and small through his puppetry performances, and has the incredible gift of capturing imaginations. His repertoire of shows include Father Goose's Tales,Jack and the Beanstalk, Sing-A-Long, and Shadows Around the World; all of which he has presented to audiences across the United States. Jim Napolitano also offers a variety of educational and entertainment possibilities: private parties, school assemblies, workshops, fundraisers and professional development days.
