Broadway's Marin Mazzie presents her solo concert Yes, It's Today! At the world famous Plush Room in San Francisco June 12-17 with the music of Jerry Herman and Kander & Ebb.
"Mazzie's concert celebrates one of Broadway's most sunny composers and a writing team that make sardonic wit their calling card. Jerry Herman and John Kander & Fred Ebb are the sweet and sour combination that makes this evening a pure delight. Collectively these writers have won countless awards, Oscars, Emmy's, Tony's... And now Marin is putting her unique stamp on their music," states the Plush Room website.
Mazzie has worked closely with these talented men and has a special insight into their music. Together with music director David Loud, a longtime collaborator of Kander & Ebb's (World Goes Round, Steel Pier, The Visit) they have put together an evening that is a treat for the lover of a well-crafted song. Songs include "Razzle-Dazzle," "Where in the World is My Prince?", "If He Walked Into My Life," "A Quiet Thing," "Arthur in the Afternoon," "Everybody's Girl," "The Best of Times," and "Ring Them Bells."
Performances June 12 – 17 are Tuesday – Saturday beginning at 8PM, doors open at 7PM. Sunday performance begins at 7PM, doors open at 6PM.
