SF Playhouse celebrates summer with the musical, Man of La Mancha, beginning June 27, opening June 30 with performances through September 1.
Man of La Mancha features music by Mitch Leigh, lyrics by Joe Lardon, and a book by Dale Wasserman. The SF Playhouse production is directed by Jon Tracy with musical direction by David Dobrusky and choreography by Krista DeNio.
"Man of La Mancha is the epic story of knight-errant Don Quixote, his servant Sancho, and the woman of his dreams, the lovely Aldonza/Dulcinea," states press notes, "The tale tells the romantic and noble journey of a knight who sets out to right all wrongs and win the heart of a good woman as he duels windmills along the way. Based on The Adventures of Don Quixote by Miguel de Cervantes', Man of La Mancha is the classic comic tragedy of man's struggle against all odds to dream impossible dreams."
Previews begin June 27, Opening June 30 with performances through September 1. Show times: Wednesdays – Fridays 8PM; Saturdays at 3 & 8PM.
