Today, Luther Burbank Center for the Arts (50 Mark West Spring Road in Santa Rosa) announced the addition of two new events to its 2016 lineup with comedian and actor Adrian Uribe performing on Saturday, May 28 at 8 p.m. and acclaimed author Terry Tempest Williams in conversation about her new book "The Hour of Land" on Friday, June 10 at 8 p.m. Tickets for Adrian Uribe presented by Viva Music and Xiochil Entertainment are $85, $75 and $60 and tickets for An Evening with Terry Tempest Williams presented by Creative Sonoma, Landpaths, and Luther Burbank Center for the Arts are $8. Tickets for both events go on sale Friday, March 18 at noon and are available online at lutherburbankcenter.org, by calling 707-546-3600, or in person at the ticket office at 50 Mark West Springs Road in Santa Rosa.

Comedian, actor and host Adrian Uribe has found success in theater, children's shows, soap operas and reality TV. Known for his hilarious and diverse set of characters, Uribe recently garnered acclaim for his role as 'Juan' in Mi Corazon es Tu as well as playing host to the World Cup during 2006 and 2014. Adrian Uribe will bring each of his hilarious characters from stage and television to life at the Ruth Finley Person Theatre in Santa Rosa for one night only in a performance sure to be filled with laughter and fun.

Terry Tempest Williams has been called "a citizen writer," a writer who speaks and speaks out eloquently on behalf of an ethical stance toward life. A naturalist and fierce advocate for freedom of speech, she has consistently shown the world how environmental issues are social issues that ultimately become matters of justice. "So here is my question," she asks, "what might a different kind of power look like, feel like, and can power be redistributed equitably even beyond our own species?" Williams, like her writing, cannot be categorized. She has testified before Congress on women's health issues, been a guest at the White House, has camped in the remote regions of Utah and Alaska wildernesses and worked as "a barefoot artist" in Rwanda.

An Evening with Terry Tempest Williams will include a reading from her new book "The Hour of Land" as well as an intimate conversation with Ms. Williams featuring questions from the audience and a book signing immediately to follow. Audience members are also invited to join the Center before the event in the sculpture garden with a representative from Landpaths and sculpture artist Bruce Johnson.
