THE LUNAFEST STORY-Connecting Women Through Film
Established in 2000 by LUNA, the makers of the Whole Nutrition Bar for Women, LUNAFEST connects women, their stories and their causes through film. This traveling film festival spotlights the work of a diverse array of talented women filmmakers with intelligent, funny and thought-provoking themes. Soroptimist St. HeleNa Sunrise is hosting their 8th LUNAFEST Napa Valley event and includes 9 films by, for, about women.
100 percent of all net proceeds are donated to charities who are all working together to improve the lives of women & girls. Beneficiaries of this event are the Breast Cancer Fund, Soroptimist St. HeleNa Sunrise, Girls on the Run Napa & Solano and NEWS (Domestic Violence & Sexual Abuse Services).
Since its inception, LUNAFEST has grown from a single annual event to a coast-to-coast force with more than 180 North American screenings each season. To date, 136 filmmakers have been featured, nearly $3.6 million dollars have been raised and thousands of attendees have come away moved, entertained and inspired by this innovative approach to spotlight women trail blazers in film.

Building on the tremendous success of Lincoln Theater's LolliPOPS! concerts for preschool children, we are now offering HipPOPS!, a new series of concerts for children in K-3rd grades.Performed by our talented and dedicated Artist in Residence musicians, these performances will open the door to the life-changing world of symphonic music for the entire family with a music selection that is fun, interactive and age appropriate. The concerts will be followed by our "Instrument Petting Zoo" where the kids will be able to see, touch, and hear the different musical instruments.

La Notte begins at 5pm with the symphony concert, followed by an exclusive artist reception on the mezzanine and an elegant gala dinner.

Audiences worldwide have been wowed by the creativity, uniqueness and vocal acrobatics of Semi Toned, the award winning all male a cappella group from the UK. In April 2015, this amazing ensemble earned the title of national champions, having won the Voice Festival UK. In 2016, Semi-Toned went on to win the BBC2 competition The Choir: Gareth's Best in Britain.
Semi Toned embraces music from a wide variety of genres, from rhythmic klezmer versions of Gwen Stefani and unlikely mash-ups of Jay-Z and Game of Thrones to the Macarena acted out as an encounter in a 1996 Ibiza club. All are performed in the group's trademark witty and engaging style - topped off with the iconic burgundy blazers.
In Semi-Toned presents: Sing Theory, the twelve strong ensemble takes us on a thrilling musical journey from the seventies to the present day. This brilliant show gives audiences everything they love about the boys in burgundy: infectious humor, exciting innovation and wonderful musicality. The show has a little something for everyone, including songs from Toy Story, Stevie Wonder and Kanye West. The group is also renowned for its dancing ability: watch as they shuffle in Lindy Hop and drop to Beyoncé.

The extraordinary dancers of the internationally acclaimed Diablo Ballet bring some of their most stunning and expressive works yet to the Lincoln Theater stage.
The Pas de Deux and Coda from Marius Petipa's Raymonda, a true classic among the international ballet repertoire, showcases Diablo Ballet's technical brilliance and artistry. Choreographer Robert Dekker's Carnival of the Imagination follows a young child on a whimsical journey through a world of dragons, unicorns, pixies and panda bears in this fantastical production. Last but not least, Three to Tango by dance legend Sally Streets, is a sexy yet reverent exploration of tango performed to live music. The evening will close with a short film, Aeterna XXI, created for the company's 21st Anniversary by award-winning filmmaker Walter Yamazaki and featuring the Diablo Ballet dancers' athleticism, beauty and strength.

The first performance in our new free seasonal concert series, For the Love of Music, is Sonic Spring on April 30, 2017 as part of our Arts in April engagement. This concert will include fresh and classical interpretations of the sonic soundscape of spring, with selections that are easy for audiences of all ages to enjoy. In September, we will offer a second free community concert, Fall Fusion that will explore new and unexpected variations on classical pieces that embrace the spirit of harvest.
