Back by popular demand, the sumptuously talented Leanne Borghesi returns to Feinstein's at the Nikko with an encore performance of her solo show, LUSH, for one performance only - tonight, October 16 at 8 p.m.
Directed by Nicolas Minas, LUSH takes audiences on an intoxicating comedic odyssey through lust, love and loss. Borghesi mixes us an up-tempo elixir of lounge, Latin, jazz and Broadway, with a special tribute to Shirley Bassey and the hits of Eartha Kitt and Rosemary Clooney. With Graham Sobelman leading her hot three-piece band, LUSH features Daniel Fabricant on bass and Roberta Drake on drums. Leanne Borghesi is a bi-coastal Musical Theatre, Cabaret and Performing Artist, currently residing in New York and San Francisco. A California native and graduate of the Pacific Conservatory of the Performing Arts (PCPA), Leanne has enjoyed performing coast to coast over the past 20 years. A two year participant and equity guest artist at The Eugene O'Neill Theater Center Cabaret Conference in Connecticut, Leanne debuted her one woman show, BAZAZZ under the direction of Michael Bush alongside power house performers as- Amanda McBroom, Penny Fuller, Marilyn Maye, Lillias White in Accentuate The Positive, A Johnny Mercer Tribute. She starred in the role of Mama in Jonathan Brielle's original musical, 40 Naked Women, A Monkey & Me and completed the 2012 New York workshop alongside a swingin' eight piece band. Leanne attended the International Cabaret Conference at Yale University in 2011 and performed in the UK with fellow colleagues in This Summer I Lived, featuring the original music of UK songwriter David Kent. Creator of infamous Ms. Anita Cocktail and an original founding member of the comedic cabaret trio "B.O.O.B.S" (Busty, Outrageous, Over-the-Top, Broads, Singing), she has played to sold out houses from San Francisco-Los Angeles to NYC at: Feinstein's at the Nikko, Rrazz Room, MBar Hollywood, Herbst Theater, Marines Memorial, Palace of Fine Arts, Metropolitan Room and The Duplex in New York City.Guests of Feinstein's at the Nikko can enjoy a variety of food and beverage options before performances. Kanpai Lounge, located in Hotel Nikko's lobby, offers light cuisine, a full bar and specialty cocktails. Restaurant Anzu, Hotel Nikko's intimate restaurant located on the second floor, serves sustainable California cuisine enhanced with Asian flavors.
